A little poem – “Procrastinating creature”

Hey guys.

So I’ve been slack. I’ve been lazy. I’ve been forgetful. I’ve been messy. And I’ve particularly been all of these with my blogging schedule. I used to be able to post at least twice a week, and now I can’t even find the time to post just one short update? Yeah…I’m terrible at this.

I used to feel guilty and lame for using the excuse ‘Oh but I’ve had school work, and I’ve been really busy.’ But you know what I finally figured out? The majority of you (High school Teenagers) struggle with this as well. And let me just tell you this, that list of exams, assignments, and homework that you’re thinking about right now, yep that one, its real. And everything on that list is real, and has a deadline (They aren’t joking about the dead part ugh). But who has to complete them…? Yep, that’s right. You do. They’ve got your name written all over them BIG and BOLD.

Now as sucky as that is (And trust me, its really sucky), in order for our future to go well, we have to go tick everything off this list. We have to try and get the marks we need. And we have to be able to make the time to do that.

So in regards to that, it is completely normal to need a break from certain things. For me, that’s unfortunately blogging (and social media in general). Because in all honesty, I absolutely SUCK at making time for things. I procrastinate day and night. And it’s seriously starting to cost meeee! Which is not good. Not good at all.

This is why I’ve been so slack lately with everything. Because I really can’t afford to keep this up. I’m obviously going to try and manage my time better, but I know that in itself takes timeee (seriously, why does everything take time!?). So I apologise for not posting as frequently as I used to, but just know, I am currently working on a solution for that (finishing my exams in other words), okay? I hope that’s alriiiight…

Okay, I love you guys so much, and thank you for having this patience with me! You guys are honestly sO amazing aw haha.

Oooh! One more thing before I say goodbye, here’s a small poem I wrote this morning. Its not really one you can ‘enjoy’ as such, but I do hope you like it nonetheless! 🙂

Procrastinating Creature –

Insignificance is attractive, and oh so deceiving,

We cannot simply live our lives on the basis of believing

That each thing will come our way by chance,

No, all we have will be gone with a glance

To that oh so tempting feature

That the procrastinating creature

Seems to have in constant supply…

The lack of responsibility that it offers

Is so debilitating, that it welcomes

And it begs us not deny,

Deny it a home, deny it a place to stay and to dwell with us until we awake,

From the sleep of deception, how could we forget, this has happened before,

And it happened again, we let out lust for laziness overtake our thoughts,

This is what happens when we forget what we’re taught,

If we wait for the perfect situation, we well never get anything done,

In the bible it teaches of the sluggard, the one,

Who never does anything, who’s disrespected by all,

Yet once again we let ourselves fall,

Why do we do it, you ask in desperation,

We are sluggards and need guidance, that’s my interpretation.

. . .

So yeah, like I said earlier, I just need to get past these final exams/assignments, and then I’ll be back to blogging! Yaayy aha
